Roy Williams Asheville Roots

Roy Williams, Head Coach, of the UNC Men's Basketball has Asheville roots and I remember several players from the area playing at UNC. The earliest I can remember is Mike Pepper, a left-handed guard that wore #11 that I believe had gone to Asheville High School, and then there was Eric Kenny, #32 a Forward from T.C. Roberson High School, and then there was Buzz Peterson, who actually beat out some guy named Michael Jordan his senior year of high school for state player of the year. I don't know if Roy Williams is one of the original UNC players from Asheville but he has to be close. Here is a school picture of Roy dated 1962. He is the second one from the left on the top row.
